Welcome to the Pulaski Softball Organization,
Throughout the fall and winter months, the Pulaski Softball Board of Directors has successfully combined the PGSA and PYO into one unified summer organization called the Pulaski Softball Organization (PSO). As the Pulaski Softball Organization develops, it is expected Pulaski’s girls, grades 4K though high school will learn to play the game of softball with a competitive spirit and consistently well. The transition to a unified summer program, streamlines the communication and expectations of our coaches, parents and players participating in our softball league teams (during the week) and our (optional) weekend- traveling tournament teams.
With the help from the varsity head coach, Billi Jo Vertz and her coaching staff, our girls and summer coaches will be guided and taught the mental aspects of a competitor and the fundamental physical skills necessary to compete and play the game of softball well. As with any new organization, we anticipate bumps along the way, but with the dedication of parents and coaches we will grow the Pulaski Softball Organization to emulate the utmost character, sportsmanship and skilled, young, female athletes.
One of the few changes in the Pulaski Softball Organization occurs at the beginning of league play. The first games of the season begin with a Kick-Off Weekend. The league Kick-Off Weekend is June 1st –June 3rd. Each team will compete in 4 league games during this weekend. Our organization will also have an end-of-season tournament beginning on June 28th - July 1st. We will also host a Pulaski Softball Invitational (formally called the PYO tournament). This tournament is July 19th-July 22nd. Our weekend-traveling teams will participate in the Pulaski Softball Invitational.
I look forward to working with all of you in making our organization a success for years to come. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at pulaskisoftballorganization@gmail.com.
